Tuesday, June 30, 2009 from 8:30 AM - 9:30 AM (GMT)
Sir Michael Barber, Partner and Head of Global Education Practice, McKinsey will introduce his new essay on how the education system needs to reflect the challenges we face in the twenty-first century.
Confronting these challenges – from climate change to poverty – will require a new generation of engaged, imaginative citizens. In particular, we need to develop a new capacity for leadership – not just in large organisations but across society, in our families and communities.
This creates an immense challenge for educators. Sir Michael will explore this challenge and describe the kind of education system we need to develop in response. Sir Michael Wilshaw, Principal, Mossbourne Community Academy & Director of Education, ARK Schools will respond.
Please join us at this breakfast event for what we are sure will be a stimulating and thought-provoking discussion.
Breakfast will be served from 8.00am
